Tips For Great Santa Portraits

This is something we posted several years ago and today I thought it be good to revisit it, since Santa will be here right around the corner!

Tips for great Santa portraits. Every year we try to remind parents and grandparents some of the following tips when they get to the studio.
1. Please be early for your appointment so that you are dressed and ready for your appointment time.
2. Don't carry your child over to Santa, or pick up your child while in the studio, or they will not go to Santa – nothing is safer than a parents arms.
3. Try to let Chance or Santa do the talking, the more they can forget about you the better, Chance knows where to get them to look and what she want them to do.
4. We try to get an assortment of poses, many times starting with Santa hiding behind the chair to be sure we get some good ones – just in case your child is scared. If you have an specific shot you have seen let us know, we will do a lot of different ones but it is good to be safe and let us know.
5. Our set is a classic living room set with a tree. Christmas clothing works – Formal, Casual or Pajamas all look great.
6. Again – Please be on time for your appointment we would hate for your child to not get their full amount of time with Santa. Appointments are scheduled every 20 minutes.
7. Please Don't park at the bank. You can park on the sidewalk out front or in front of the Magnolia trees just past the driveway and as a last resort in the driveway. This should allow more than enough parking and keep the bank happy at the same time.
