St Simons Island Beach Portraits

Portraits on the beach is something that we have been doing for years.  We used to work at Sea Island and live on St. Simons, and when we met that is what we both did every day.  A few weeks ago we were on the island to photograph these three beautiful children and as luck would have it every night we were there the weather was different.  The first night when we went out on the beach to scout locations there was no wind at all, it was hot, and the gnats were driving us crazy – a few of the things that I don’t miss at all.  The next night, the night of the session, the rain came pouring down fifteen minutes before our session.  Luckily the next night there was no rain, only wind.  What would a beach session be without wind.  The session went great and we finished up by the water with a beautiful sunset.
