Saturday afternoon after my last appointment I headed out on an adventure with two of my photographer friends. It was supposed to be a trip to talk about photography and photograph in the Cades Cove area. Since I had to work later than everyone else we met up in Gatlinburg that night so we could start shooting early Sunday. As I was coming into the Great Smokey Mountains park I noticed a lot of cars on the side of the road and at first it was a huge traffic jam, then I noticed the elk on the side of the road. This was the start of a really great weekend. Before the weekend was over we saw 9 elk, 1 fox, over 20 turkey and 5 black bear. So the rest of this post is just going to be mostly images from the trip.
