What is cuter than a puppy? I can’t think of too may things. This morning Ruger came for his first portrait session. Ruger is a lucky little guy, he is a rescue dog and our daughter is his new mom. Our family has grown up with pets and they have a very special place in our hearts and always have. I can still remember my first pet, and luckily we have photographs of her. As the years have gone by we have had lots of pets and for many we never had any photographs of them, or none that I can find. Our dog Sadie, our first child, had a lot of great photographs taken of her. Our girls grew up with Sadie and were photographed with her numerous times and we will always cherish those portraits especially now that she is no longer with us. Many of you might remember our cat Sugar, she was our official greeter at the front door for years where she would wait and try to sneak in with anyone coming in the front door. Sugar was also in a lot of tea party portraits with children who loved her. When we lose a pet we realize just how precious those little companions are and how special the photographs we have of them are.
During the month of January we are offering a special pet portrait session. To help the local animal shelter we will be accepting donations of 20 lb. or larger dog or cat food in exchange for a pet session fee. Call for an appointment and bring the food with you to your session, and we will be sure it gets to the right people. The session fee is normally $40 and the food will go to a lot of animals in need.
