Family Portraits – All Our Children’s Children

Many years ago as we got to know the Stricklands, we photographed a wedding and then another and another…  Well, after several weddings usually come children,  and after five children get married you end up with a lot of grandchildren!  Holiday’s like Thanksgiving and the 4th of July are times that the entire family can  get together and every year we are privileged to be able to photograph them and watch as the family grows.  This year they came from Missouri, South Carolina, London, Atlanta and Winder and boy, do they have a good time!

Every year we have a list of must have portraits of individual children and groups that we photograph.  The “Line-up” is the all time favorite tell-all of who has grown the most in the last year.  This has become a wonderful family tradition and it is so much fun to go through the house and look at how the family has changed over the years.  If you ever have the privilege of being at the Strickland’s home, be sure and take a look at the portraits of their beautiful family.

Don’t put off family portraits.  Time goes by too quickly and preserving memories of your family in print is so important to future generations.  Do you have a nice portrait of your
grandmother or grandfather? Something really nice from when they were young or when they graduated?   If you don’t, what would you give have that now?  You see photography should not be something you trust to someone who just has a camera.  Photography is something that you use to invest in your child’s future.  Photography is very, very priceless.
