There are few things that hold the special meaning of a family portrait in this world. All the time you hear about people rushing back into a burning house to save portraits. We get calls all of the time when someone’s house burns about replacing cherished portraits. And when a family member passes away there is nothing more cherished than a portrait of them. People always have excuses of reasons why they don’t want to have portraits taken, let me lose weight, I want to let my hair grow out some or I just don’t like having my photos taken are just some of the excuses we hear. Don’t put it off, whatever excuse you come up with it isn’t worth it. When is the best time for a portrait? That is an easy answer – now. Now is always the best time for a family portrait because you never know what tomorrow holds.
We were so honored to have been asked to photograph the Sorah family last week. Truly, one of the sweetest families you will ever meet. We absolutely loved the portraits we captured for them.
