Of course the best thing anyone could do would be come to Bentley Photography! But, this is also a great time of year to go out and enjoy seasonal events and sights. This past weekend we went to Walhalla, SC to visit a friend and while we were up there we found out that next weekend is Oktoberfest in Walhalla. It is also Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega and I started thinking about all of the other great things to do. So I am going to list a few with links, in case anyone needs any help finding something to get out and enjoy!
The first is my favorite! Bentley Photography. Then this weekend you have two events Walhalla Oktoberfest and Gold Rush Days in Dahlonega. One place I enjoy anytime of year is Jaemor Farms just above Gainesville for the fried pies, apples, jellies, jams and peanuts. A few years ago they added a corn maze. A place that I have seen a lot of times and hear about on the radio every day is North Georgia Corn Maze outside Cleveland which has a corn maze and The House of Burm to scare your pants off. One year when our girls were young we took them to Burts Pumpkin Farm where we saw some of the biggest pumpkins I have ever seen. They also have a hayride and our girls had a ball, but it was very crowded on the weekends. One that is close to home is Washington Farms corn maze between Winder and Watkinsville where you can also go on a hay ride, try the new "texting in the maze" and even watch a pig race. A great place to buy pumpkins in Winder is at the First United Methodist Church where you can walk around the pumpkin patch and find that special pumpkin and help out with the youths mission activities at the same time. Want to go on a scenic and curvy ride, or drive? Check out the Tale of the Dragon, but be ready for the curves! And of course no fall weekend would be complete without UGA Football, hopefully it will be better this week!
So if you still can't find anything to do this fall just remember the first on the list!
Oh, I forgot an important link this year LL Bean Gumshoes!
